Greg brings extensive knowledge of the mobile ecosystem and 30 years of operating experience in the US, China, Japan, Korea, and Europe. Most recently he was General Manager of the Ethernet Access Business at Broadcom Corporation following its successful acquisition of Teknovus, where he was CEO since 2006. In the process of building the company, Greg led Teknovus to a dominant position in the Ethernet Access market, particularly in China, the largest and fastest growing market. Previously he was President and COO of SOMA Networks, an early innovator in wireless broadband. Greg lived in Asia for nearly 14 years. He founded mobile industry pioneer Boston Technology/Comverse's business in Asia and built its Asian business to be nearly a quarter of Comverse's billion dollars of revenue. Greg has a BSEE Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Princeton University and received his MBA from Stanford University where he was a FLAS Fellow. He also did postgraduate and Executive Education at the Inter-University Center in Tokyo and INSEAD in France.
Tuan has over 25 years of experience in semiconductor product development for mobile handsets, broadband communication, digital consumer, and PC markets. Tuan was most recently the Vice President of Engineering at Amalfi Semiconductor, where he successfully delivered the world’s best Power Amps for cellular handsets in CMOS technology and took them to high volume production. Prior to Amalfi, Tuan served as Vice President of Engineering at TAEC and Artile Microsystems, where he was responsible for developing standard products and custom SoC’s based on Toshiba's MIPS embedded processors. Tuan has also spent over 13 years at Oak Technology, where he started as a founding engineer and eventually became Vice President of Engineering in various Business Units within Oak. During this time, Tuan helped the company grow to over 500 employees with annual revenues of over $240 million. Tuan holds a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Santa Clara University.
Jean-Luc has over 30 years of experience in the semiconductor industry in selling and designing semi-custom chips. He has managed multiple international start-ups as CEO or COO. Previously, Jean-Luc was the Vice President of the WW Technology Centers at Philips Semiconductor where he started the successful ASIC business in France, then deploying it to other technology centers around the world. This became the main revenue stream of VLSI Technology in the wireless and consumer businesses prior to its acquisition by Philips. Before VLSI, Jean-Luc held executive positions at Intel Corporation working with customers to implement Intel system and processor products in a large range of applications. Jean-Luc holds a Master degree in Physics and Electronic from CPE Lyon, France and a Management Degree from INSEAD, Paris, France.
Ron has over 30 years of experience in the semiconductor industry in building business operations and successful fabless start-up companies. Most recently, Ron was CEO of Siliconaire, a company with a pioneering business model serving the fabless semiconductor market and helping several start-ups in their success. Previously, Ron was Vice President of Operations at Atheros Communications where he built the business infrastructure and partnerships to take the world's first CMOS 802.11a/b/g chipset into high volume manufacturing leading to a successful IPO. Before Atheros, Ron was Vice President of Operations at NewPort Communications, where he helped in building the company business towards a successful acquisition by Broadcom. Ron also held executive level positions at Cirrus Logic and AMD where he managed various joint ventures of significant size with companies like IBM, Lucent and Fujitsu. Ron is a former board member of the Global Semiconductor Alliance (GSA). Ron holds a doctoral degree in Electrical Engineering from University of California, Santa Barbara.
Derek has over 33 years of international Sales and Marketing experience in the Semiconductor industry. Most recently he was the Vice President of World Wide Sales at Amalfi Semiconductor, a successful company in CMOS power amplifiers for the 2G cellular market. He has substantial Sales and Marketing experience of the Asian cellular handset and mobile wireless markets, and contributed significantly towards Amalfi’s success. Prior to that, Derek was the Senior Vice President at Silicon Storage Technology, Inc (SST) from 1997 to 2010, responsible for building and running a Sales and Marketing organization Worldwide. SST was a world leader in the design and high volume manufacturer of NOR Flash, NAND Flash controllers, solid state drives, Microcontrollers and wireless Power Amplifier technology. Previously, Derek held various executive positions at MMS, Hitachi and Texas Instruments as well as the co-founder of Mosaic Semiconductor during his long career which includes working both in Europe and the US.
Benoit has more than 20 years experience in Finance and leads our financing and French financial affairs. Benoit spent 8 years at Arthur Andersen managing the transaction support division doing due diligences for equity firms and industrial groups. After Arthur Andersen, Benoit held CFO positions at various companies including I Day Plus (company specialized in sport, media and high tech), Sport Universal Process (European leading company in sport statistics). Benoit holds a master degree from HEC, France.
Carl has a broad background in semiconductor finance, including more than 30 years of industry experience. Carl joined the team with a focus on financial planning, scaling the company and raising funds. Most recently Carl was CFO of Conexant Systems, Inc., a $105 million mixed signal semiconductor company, working with outside counsel, management and vendors to restructure the business and eliminate more than $175 million of debt. As the CFO of QuickLogic Corporation (NASDAQ QUIK) Carl worked with the leadership team to improve ownership of the business model, achieved his earnings guidance, built a strong financial organization and increased debt-free cash by $9 million over nine quarters. Previously Carl was CFO at WaferScale Integration, Inc. (acquired by STMicroelectronics), where Carl worked with the management team to negotiate and complete the acquisition by STMicro, raise $10 million of equity and technology revenue, and obtain asset-based financing. Carl was also CFO of AltoWeb, Inc., a private software company. Carl holds a B.S. and M.B.A in finance from Santa Clara University.
